From two (2) existing manpower of the DOST Nueva Vizcaya since 1992 to 2015, it has increased to four (4) to compensate the increasing demand of services being offered by the DOST in the province of Nueva Vizcaya.
Ms. Rowena G. Da-ang first served in the office on October 1, 2015. Prior to her Job Contract in the DOST as project Assistant 1, she worked as a public school teacher. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in year 2009 and Bachelor in Elementary Education in 2012 at Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong Campus.
Another job contract staff as Project Assistant 2 was added on August 18, 2016. Engr. Ronnie Jay A. Bullawit finished his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering at NVSU on April 2008 and a Real Estate Appraiser passer on August 2015. Before he was hired at DOST NV, he worked at the Cooperative Bank of Nueva Vizcaya for three years, at the Department of Agriculture RO2 (RAEG) for six months, and at LGU-Quezon for two years.
As Project Assistants they are expected to perform the following functions in the Provincial Science and Technology Office:
- Serve in the conduct of technology needs assessment for a particular project to be assisted for SETUP and GIA technology funding;
- Prepare project proposals and other documents for funding to SETUP and GIA project and monitor the implementation of the said projects.
- Implement and conduct monitoring and evaluation of the following special projects but not limited to: Hydromet, OL Trap, CEST, CAPE, MPEX, PDTC
- Assist in the maintenance of ISO 9001:2008 implementation;
- Perform other official duties required by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
