Year 2017 is indeed strengthening for PSTC Nueva Vizcaya. Two staff was added to the four (4) existing personnel including the Provincial Director. The positions given are Project Assistant 1 and Administrative Aide on a job order basis.

The newly hired staff are Ms. Florita D. Sinot and Mr. Franz W. Nadun-0p. Ms. Sinot is a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in General Sciences at the Nueva Vizcaya State University and a Licensed Professional Teacher. She first served in the office as Project Aide for two months since one of the PSTC staff had his leave of absence. Recently, she was an Emergency Instructor at the College of Arts & Sciences of the same university she graduated.

While Mr. Nadun-op is a fresh graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education major in Industrial Arts at the same school and a Licensed Professional Teacher too.

As written in the contract of service signed by both parties, the DOST R02 hired project staff considering that the office of the Regional Director includes Small Enterprises Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) which was over and above its regular functions. Thus, Ms. Sinot will be assisting the center in the conduct of Technology Needs Assessment for particular projects or business firms to be enrolled in the program.  Furthermore, she will be assisting in the S&T dissemination, monitoring & evaluation of SETUP clients in the office and others.

Mr. Nadun-op as Admin Aide will be in-charge in maintaining the cleanliness of the Center and will serve as courier of documents and driver to all travels needed for official business. He will be assisting also in the collection of payments of SETUP projects.

During the conducted Orientation for Project Staff and JO’s of the DOST RO2, The Regional Director, Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, declared that there was a need of  increase of the workforce of the office for there much work have to be accomplished at present and in the days to come.
